POSITION SUMMARY
CVS Health is seeking a highly motivated and experienced
professional to join our team as a Senior Manager of IT Resiliency
testing, part of the Infrastructure Operations & Service Delivery
organization. You will be responsible for the creation and
maintenance of the resiliency testing strategy along with managing
the overall operational execution of the Technology Resiliency
tests for the technology organization including overseeing the
planning, execution, reporting and evaluation of resiliency &
disaster recovery (DR) tests to ensure the effectiveness and
readiness of our organization's availability and recovery plans.
You will play a critical role in identifying the what/why/how/when
as it relates to resiliency testing, improving recovery procedures,
minimizing downtime and improving availability of our critical
applications and infrastructure.
Expectations for the Role:
- Testing Strategy: Development of a comprehensive resiliency
testing strategy to ensure the right infrastructure elements are
being tested in the most efficient way possible to instill
confidence in the resiliency postures of our most critical
applications and infrastructure.
- Test Planning: Oversee the development of the resiliency and DR
test plans, including objectives, scope, scenarios, test scripts,
and success criteria in alignment with business & operational
requirements and regulatory standards.
- Test Schedules: Creation and coordination of testing schedules
and execution with cross-functional teams including Operations,
security, business continuity, and external vendors with minimal
impact to production systems.
- Execution: Lead the facilitation and execution of resiliency
and DR tests, simulating various scenarios to validate failover and
recovery procedures, RTO, and RPO.
- Documentation and Reporting: Document test results,
observations, and lessons learned from each test, clearly
identifying areas of improvement and recommendations for enhancing
our resiliency posture.
- Risk Management: Identify and proactively address risks
associated with test plans, scheduling, and execution, and assist
in their mitigation to ensure system and data availability and
security during testing.
- Continuous Improvement: Analyze test results and feedback to
identify opportunities for enhancing testing plans and document
actionable remediations to improve resiliency.
- Communication: Communicate test plans, schedules, progress,
results, metrics, and findings to stakeholders and senior
leadership to foster awareness and confidence.
- Training & Awareness: Provide training and guidance to IT staff
on testing procedures, roles, and responsibilities, raising
awareness of resiliency testing's importance.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of 7 years implementing DR concepts, methodologies, and
best practices
- 5+ years experience in managing and maintaining resiliency
strategies, DR planning, testing, and execution
- 3+ years experience with IT infrastructure components,
including servers, storage, network devices, and cloud services
(Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud)
- 3+ years experience with resiliency and DR tools and
technologies such as high availability, clusters, replication,
backups, failover, DNS, etc.
- 2+ years experience in project management and coordination
skills with the ability to handle multiple projects
simultaneously
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Analytical capability to assess complex IT environments and
identify risks
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability
to collaborate effectively across teams
- Certifications in DR planning and related areas (such as CBCP,
DRP, etc.) are a plus
EDUCATION
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (HS diploma + 4 years relevant experience)

Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is: $106,605.00 - $260,590.00. The actual offer will depend on experience, education, geography, and other factors. This role is eligible for bonuses, commissions, or incentives, and includes an equity award target.
