Job Description Job Description Atlantic Plywood is looking for a full-time Truck Driver to join our team! We are looking for skilled Class A and B CDL Drivers to help meet the needs of customers by delivering and picking up products in a timely, safe, and courteous manner. We seek highly motivated and experienced drivers with a background in delivering construction and or industrial products and providing customer satisfaction. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Maintain driver logs and complete pre-trip inspections Follow all corporate operational procedures and QC Standards Adhere to all safety requirements, including Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations Maintain the service and appearance of all company vehicles Follow delivery/pickup instructions from Warehouse Manager and/or Sales Manager Perform any other duties as assigned by the Warehouse Manager and/or Sales Manager Job Requirements: Authorization to work in the US High school diploma / GED Valid Commercial Class B Driver’s License and clean driving record Current Medical Card Good understanding of safety procedures and use of personal protection equipment (PPE) Good organizational and time management skills Must be able to work unsupervised as well as in a team Must be able to start early, work late occasionally as needed Must have a pre-employment physical, drug test, MVR, and background check upon hire Regulatory Compliance: Knowledge of GVWR’s, state/federal regulations regarding height/weight maximums, & winch operations OSHA familiarity/training Acceptable DOT Drug Test History Drivers will be subject to DOT-regulated random drug and alcohol testing Preferred Qualifications: Previous CDL Driving experience Previous warehouse experience Flatbed and/or tractor-trailer experience Experience hauling lumber or other building materials Physical Demands and Work Environment: Frequent holding and grasping with the hands when loading and unloading equipment and while securing your load Frequent use of foot/feet Frequent lifting of 50 lbs.; occasional lifting up to 90 lbs.
