Job Details Job Details: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Director of Cloud Infrastructure to join our high-performing team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead and shape the IT security strategy for our engineering firm. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the organization's security infrastructure, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our digital assets, and mitigating risks associated with threats and vulnerabilities. This role is integral to the success of our business, and we are looking for a dedicated professional with a passion for IT security and a proven track record in the field. Responsibilities: *This is a unique opportunity to join a very well funded startup who is in the beginning stages of moving to AWS for a better baked in security environment. This candidate should have a high level of confidence in building an AWS environment from scratch, highly versed with Terraform and knowledge of what technologies should be adopted to help scale. We are not looking for someone with strong senior level experience to manage a current cloud infrastructure, but a senior level manager/director who can manage a 3 person DevOps team along with a 3 person IT team who will be responsible for the ground up development using AWS/Terraform. Qualifications: Excellent hands on AWS/Terraform cloud infrastructure build experience Healthcare product industry experience highly preferred with ISO/SOC regulation experience A bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications such as CISSP, CSA, or AWS Certified Solutions Architect are preferred. The more AWS Certs the better! Demonstrable experience with AWS and Terraform Strong knowledge of IT security risks, threats, and vulnerabilities, and the ability to develop strategies to mitigate these. Proven experience in managing a complex security infrastructure. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure. Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex security issues to non-technical stakeholders.
