Must-Have: - Labor and Delivery experience - Postpartum care
experience Description: License must be in hand at the time of
submission. Unit has a total of 19 beds. Patient ratios are 1-2:1
for Labor and Delivery and 3:1 for postpartum. Gyn/Pedi patient
ratios are 3-4:1. Unit staffing includes nurses and unit
coordinators along with a manager and director. Types of equipment
used include electronic fetal monitors, beds, and pumps. The
documentation system is Meditech Expanse and CPN Connect. Schedule
consists of three 12-hour shifts. Floating policy is in place to
assist other units as needed. Patient experience is a priority with
a focus on patient-centered care. Advanced skills needed include
experience with procedures such as versions, circumcisions, and
C-sections. Optional certifications include STABLE and PALS. Unit
provides scrubs for staff. Work environment is team-oriented and
supports patient requests for doulas and massage therapy.
