CVOR RN Job Details - Location: Boston, Massachusetts (02215) – Boston nursing jobs - Healthcare Setting: Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) - Contract Length: 13 weeks (Start: 2/16/2026 – End: 5/16/2026) - Schedule: 40 hours/week - Shifts: Four 10-hour day shifts (6:45am – 5:15pm, primary), with rotation to 9am – 7:30pm OR five 8-hour shifts (6:45am – 3:15pm; rotate 11am – 7:30pm) - On-Call: One weekend of cardiac or endovascular call per month (Friday 7pm – Monday 7am, 30 min response time); one short call shift/week; one CVI call night/week - On-Site Position CVOR Registered Nurse Qualifications - Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts (required at time of submission) - Minimum 1 year of operating room (OR) nursing experience - American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification - Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification - Experience in cardiac surgery, cardiac transplant, open vascular/endovascular surgery, thoracic surgery, thoracic robotics, or general surgery preferred - Ability to scrub and circulate preferred (scrub not required) - Experience in a teaching hospital and specialty area expertise preferred - Must not reside within 50 miles of the facility (no local travelers) - Must not have worked at facility as perm or per diem within the last six months CVOR RN Responsibilities - Deliver expert nursing care in the Cardiovascular Operating Room, supporting cardiac, vascular, thoracic, and general surgical procedures - Circulate and/or scrub for complex surgeries as needed - Respond to emergency calls and participate in scheduled call rotations - Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes - Maintain compliance with hospital policies, safety protocols, and regulatory standards - Participate in orientation and ongoing professional development for clinical support Experience the excitement of Boston while making a meaningful impact in patient care.
