Position Title: Middle School Special Education Teacher () Match
Charter Public School is a free, high-performing charter public
school in Boston. We are a PreK-12 school serving up to 1,250

OF ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES Match is accepting applications for a
Middle School Special Education Teacher. This position is based at
Match Middle School, 215 Forest Hills St. in Jamaica Plain, MA. The
salary range for teachers new to Match is $61,812-98,899 and is
determined by the candidates prior years of full-time teaching
experience. Match offers a comprehensive benefits package that

Approximately 20% of Match students are on Individualized Education
Plans (IEPs). Special Education Teachers provide instruction and
support to students with IEPs. The Special Education Teacher
reports to the Special Education Director and is responsible for:
Providing inclusion support and instruction in regular education
classes containing IEP students, and when absolutely necessary,
teaching separate classes. Helping to manage the schools Special
Education programing including, but not limited to: completion of
necessary paperwork and filing, teacher professional development,
management of parent and student communication, administration of
student testing/screening, and upholding of applicable Department
of Elementary and Secondary Education compliance requirements.
Upholding high academic and behavioral expectations for students,
and provide lots of support for getting students there;
Participating actively in Matchs coaching and professional
development programming; Assisting with school programming as
needed during non-instructional time; and Serving as a positive and
collaborative member of the Match Charter Public School community

least two years of full-time experience as classroom or special
education teacher, preferably in an urban education setting; meet
teacher certification requirements set by the Massachusetts
Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, or can meet the
certification requirements within a year of date of hire; believe
that all students can and will succeed; Have a desire to
continually improve their practice as a teacher by taking and
implementing feedback; have a proven record of student success and
achievement; and demonstrate an ability to work well on a team, and
a willingness to support others in doing their best work. We are
