Our client is a well-established organization in the education sector seeking a Payroll and General Accountant to support their growing finance team. This full-time, in-person role reports directly to the Controller and offers a mix of payroll processing and general ledger responsibilities. Highlights about this opportunity: Full-time, year-round role in a collaborative office environment Mission-driven culture with a focus on inclusivity and community Exposure to both payroll and general accounting functions Reports to an experienced Controller with mentorship opportunity 4 weeks of PTO plus additional school holidays Hands-on experience with ADP WorkforceNow and Financial Edge NXT Responsibilities of the Payroll and General Accountant include but are not limited to: Run bi-weekly payroll using ADP WorkforceNow Prepare and enter monthly journal entries; reconcile cash and balance sheet accounts Assist with investment reporting, endowment accounting, and fixed asset tracking Support annual audit preparation and coordinate with Advancement on gift reconciliation Process summer billing, petty cash, and other general ledger tasks Maintain accurate records and ensure confidentiality across all responsibilities Qualification Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field with relevant coursework 2-3 years of accounting or finance experience required Payroll processing experience strongly preferred, especially with ADP WorkforceNow Strong Excel skills; experience with Financial Edge NXT a plus Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to meet deadlines with integrity INJUN2025 ZRCFS LI-MP3
